Arkansas guard Melo Sanchez reportedly entering transfer portal

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Razorback men’s basketball guard Melo Sanchez is entering the transfer portal, according to a report from 24/7 Sports.

The junior, originally from San Diego, transferred to Arkansas from Division II Hawaii Pacific after spending two seasons with the Sharks.

He averaged more than 14 points per game in both of his seasons at Hawaii Pacific and was named to the All-PacWest second team as a sophomore.

Razorback guard Casmir Chavis entering transfer portal: report

Sanchez played in two games for the Razorbacks in limited minutes against Maryland-Eastern Shore and Central Arkansas. He has two years of eligibility remaining, according to 24/7 Sports.

He is the third Arkansas player to enter the transfer portal, joining Zvonimir Ivisic and Casmir Chavis.

Arkansas has already received commitments for the 2025-26 season — Darius Acuff, Isaiah Sealy, Meleek Thomas and former Lebanese professional Karim Rtail.
