Arkansas roster revamp continues with addition of Missouri St. transfer OF Zach Stewart

FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas continue to revamp it roster for the 2026 baseball on Tuesday by adding in a fifth portal transfer slugging Missouri State outfielder Zach Stewart (6-2, 205).

In his three seasons with the Bears, the lefty-swinging Stewart hit 44 home runs, including 21 as a sophomore in 2024, and had 147 RBIs.

He played right field and had a .961 fielding percentage in 272 career chances for the Springfield-based school.

Stewart was 2 of 5 with a home run and two RBIs in Missouri State’s 14-13 comeback win over Arkansas in 10 innings on March 25.

He was the Missouri Valley Conference’s Freshman off the Year in 2023 after hitting .302 with 12 home runs, 61 RBIs and18 doubles.

As a sophomore, Stewart hit .300 with the 21 blasts and 55 RBIs.

Stewart’s numbers were down last season as he batted .269 with 11 homers, 31 RBIs, 8 doubles, 27 walks and 63 strikeouts

Stewart joins Ball State third-team All-American shortstop Dylan Grego and a triple of pitchers in Little Rock right hander Jackson Wells, Oklahoma right hander Jackson Kircher and Vanderbilt left hander Evan McElvain as portal additions.
