WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Steve Womack (AR-03) honored two top-ranked collegiate ball players on Wednesday.
Womack spoke about Razorback standouts Bri Ellis in softball and Wehiwa Aloy in baseball. Both finished 2025 on top, with Ellis named the 2025 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year and Aloy the 2025 SEC Player of the Year.

Womack pointed out that this was the first time top players from both sports disciplines at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, had been named.
“Mister Speaker, this has been an unprecedented year at Arkansas,” Womack said. “With Razorback athletes claiming player of the year honors in both softball and baseball. That’s never happened before.”
Ellis, a senior, finished the season with additional honors, including Softball America Player of the Year, D1 Softball Player of the Year and more.
