Fayetteville, AR (KNWA/KFTA) – Bri Ellis enters 2025 with high expectations for the Arkansas softball program. The senior believes this team is capable of reaching Oklahoma City and beyond.

“It’s almost kind of normalized within this group, that’s where we’re going, don’t be shocked about it,” Ellis said.

Individually, Ellis had a stellar first season on the Hill in 2024. The first baseman’s 14 home runs and 47 RBI led the Hogs.

However, as a team Arkansas fell short of its goals a season ago. The Hogs were upset in the Fayetteville regional falling to Arizona and Villanova in a surprise exit.

“It was super painful, it was painful for everybody, nobody wants to lose, but especially no one wants to lose the way we did,” Ellis said. “We had such a talented group last year and on paper, we were the best team in the entire country.”

The Razorbacks return multiple key pieces from a year ago, as well as bolstering the roster with multiple transfer portal additions and an impressive freshman class. Arkansas is a consensus preseason top-15 team in all four national polls.
