LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas head coach John Calipari apparently was not finished constructing his year-two 2025-26 Razorbacks roster, because on Thursday he added the commitment of Bosnian big man Elmir Džafić.
Hogville learned of the commitment via two sources on Wednesday, June 11.
Džafić (6-11, 265, forward / center, 20-year-old, native of Tuzla in Bosnia / Herzegovina) gives Arkansas a five-deep on its frontline in 2025-26, a group that includes senior 4/5-combo Trevon Brazile (6-10, 235), senior center Nick Pringle (6-10, 230), junior center Malique Ewin (6-11, 235), and freshman forward Karim Rtail (6-8, 210).
Džafić has played professionally for KK Bosna Sarajevo in the Adriatic League (ABA) as well as the Bosnia Division 1 League, appearing sparingly in each in ’24-25 as he competed in 11 games total between the two leagues, combining for 21 points (9-of-14 field goals and 3-of-10 free throws) and 16 rebounds in a collective 67 minutes.
According Arman Jovic of PDT Scouting, Džafić averaged 13.2 points, 10.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists while shooting 61% from the field during 2023 FIBA U18 competition.
