FAYETTEVILLE — Maumelle edge Jordan Harris is very athletic and is now looking hard at Arkansas following his official visit this weekend.
Harris, 6-7, 220, also is a standout in basketball. He provided feedback on how the visit went.
“The visit went great this past weekend,” Harris said. “I changed my mind on a lot of things about the University of Arkansas.”
What was the highlight?
“I mean it was pretty good,” Harris said. “Coach Deke (Adams) and Coach (Sam) Pittman have been recruiting me. They wanted me down this weekend. It was a pretty special weekend for me since I was the only D-lineman here. So I spent a lot of time with them.”
Harris has such SEC schools as Missouri, Mississippi State and Ole Miss chasing him among others around the country. Harris said the Hogs are moving up for him.
“It helped them a lot,” Harris said. “They’ve landed a lot of big commitments. That’s real good for them.”
Harris is still debating on a timetable for when he will make a decision.
“The decision timeline I’m still in the mix with it,” Harris said. “It might be the end of the summer or the first signing period next year.”
Harris said the coaches talked to him about how they plan to use him.
“They were excited to get me down here because I’m a hometown kid,” Harris said. “They want to use me on the edge, outside linebacker.”
