Four more Razorbacks continue Olympic journeys in Paris

PARIS (KNWA) — Four more Razorback track & field athletes kept their Olympic journeys alive on Monday at Stade de France.
Rojé Stona advanced to the finals in the discus event with a mark of 214-4 (65.32). He was sixth-best overall and ranked second in Group B. Stona was one of three Jamaicans to advance to the final.

Three Razorbacks advance to Olympic finals in long jump, 800-meter
The discus final will be on August 7 at 1:25 p.m. CST.
Tina Šutej advanced to the final in pole vault with a 14-5.25 (4.40) in qualifying, finishing in a nine-way tie for 12th place. 20 vaulters will compete in the final.
The women’s pole vault final is set for noon CST on August 7.
Amber Anning and Nickisha Pryce both advanced to the semifinals in the 400-meter. Pryce won her heat with a time of 50.02 in lane 8. Anning also won her heat with a 48.96 in lane 8.
Alexis Holmes, who trains in Fayetteville, placed second in her heat with a 50.35.
The women’s 400-meter final is set for August 9 at 1 p.m. CST.
