Freshman Quentin Murphy enters transfer portal

FAYETTEVILLE — True freshman wide receiver Quentin Murphy has entered the transfer portal.

Murphy, 6-1, 206, signed with Arkansas out of Little Rock Parkview in December and enrolled when the spring semester started in January.

Murphy played quarterback at Joe T. Robinson until his senior season when he transferred to Parkview to play for Brad Bolding. He helped Parkview to a state championship.

With Murphy leaving the Razorbacks now have 84 players on scholarship. Sam Pittman said Tuesday he would like to sign five players in this portal opening. For that to happen the Razorbacks need four more players to enter the transfer portal.

The 10-day portal window opened on Wednesday. Pittman has said the Razorbacks will look hard at defensive tackles and secondary help.
