FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas has offered Fayetteville Class of 2027 linebacker Will Caston at the 7-on-7 camp Wednesday.

Caston, 6-1, 195, also camped at Arkansas on Saturday and impressed Travis Williams and the coaching staff. He’s the son of former Razorback Marvin Caston.

“I went to the camp on Saturday,” Caston said. “I worked with Coach T-Will and he was pretty impressed with me. All the coaches liked me pretty good. He said if I could play he wasn’t going to let me leave. So today the first game they watched and before the second game against Little Rock Christian Coach Sam Pittman pulled up in a golf cart and offered me a scholarship.”

What does it mean to you to have a chance to play where your father played?

“Oh it’s big-time,” Caston said. “I came to all the games with him growing up. I got to read all the stories about when he played. So getting to play here would be big-time and a great opportunity for me.”

Caston ran a 4.5 flat at Arkansas on Saturday and a 4.51 at LSU recently. I ran a 10.99 in the 100-meter dash at one of our meets this year.”

“The speed is definitely a blessing and something I use to my benefit,” Caston said.

Arkansas and Tulane have offered Caston. Cincinnati and Arkansas State are showing interest in him as well.
