FAYETTEVILLE — Wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa is set to play his final home game at Arkansas on Saturday and he wants to give the fans a win for Senior Day.
This season, TeSlaa has caught 17 passes for 342 yards and 1 touchdown. Senior Day is a big one for TeSlaa.
“I mean it’s a big game for a lot of reasons, but obviously it being our last home game in front of the crowd, I think that’s a really big deal,” TeSlaa said. “They’ve been through thick and thin with us, at least the two years that I’ve been here. So I just want to go out with a big win for them.”
In 2023 after transferring in from Hillsdale College TeSlaa started all 12 games catching 34 passes for 351 yards and 2 touchdowns. In three years previously at Hillsdale College, TeSlaa caught 118 passes for 2,116 yards and 19 touchdowns. TeSlaa played 26 games at Hillsdale including starting 24 of them.
The Razorbacks are No. 11 in total offense, but haven’t maximized scoring.
“Yeah, we’ve struggled a little bit in the red zone or when we get kind of past the 50,” TeSlaa said. “So I’d say maintaining drives is a big thing. I know Braun touched on it quite a bit, but just really locking into the details offensively and just playing one play at a time. When you play like that big plays will happen and you’ll be able to drive down the field.”
TeSlaa was a quarterback at Hudsonville (Mich.) Unity Christian and led them to a MHSAA Division 5 state title in 2018. As a senior, TeSlaa ran for 1,139 yards and 14 touchdowns. He passed for 448 yards and 10 more touchdowns.
