Jackson named All-SEC, Hogs picked low in standings

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas placed defensive end Landon Jackson on the All-SEC second-team as voted by the media.

Jackson enters the 2024 campaign as a Walter Camp Football Foundation Preseason All-American. In 2023, Jackson finished with 44 tackles, 22 solo, 13.5 for loss, 6.5 sacks, a pass breakup and a pair of quarterback hurries.

In a 24-21 loss to Alabama last season, Jackson had 11 tackles, seven solo, 3.5 for loss and 3.5 sacks. Jackson was one of three players Sam Pittman took to the SEC Media Days.

As far as the team standings, Arkansas was picked 14th by the media. Arkansas got 749 votes to finish ahead of Mississippi State (623) and Vanderbilt (293).
