FAYETTEVILLE – New Arkansas women’s head basketball coach Kelsi Musick has added some much needed height to her first Razorback roster.
Eastern Arizona Junior College transfer center Ashlynn Chlarson (6-3) joins a recruiting class that previously had three guards announced.
Chlarson delivered a career-best 30 points and 19 rebounds in her final home game while leading the Gila Monsters to a 28-7 record this season and the National Junior College DI Final Four.
A first-team All Arizona Community College Athletic Conference selection, Chlarson averaged 10.9 points and 9.8 rebounds as a sophomore this past season.
A former Pima (Ariz.) County Day prep star, Chlarson led her high school team to two Class 2A state titles and a runner up finish.
She was the 2A Conference Offensive Player of the Year as a senior.
Arkansas had previously announced the additions of 5-10 Oral Roberts University transfers Taliyah Jones and Emily Robinson and 5-7 former Kansas guard Wyvette Mayberry.
Mayberry is the daughter of former Arkansas All-American and NBA player Lee Mayberry, the program’s career leader in steals (291), second in assists (729) and third-leading scorer with 1,940 career points.
Starting her collegiate career with one year at Tulsa, Mayberry will be playing her six season.
Mayberry suffered a season-ending knee injury six games into the 2024-2025 season.
Jones averaged 18.1 points and Robinson 10 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists last season for ORU.
