DETROIT, Mich. (KNWA/KFTA) — Two former Razorback kickers were on opposing sidelines on Sunday in Detroit as the Lions faced the Jacksonville Jaguars.

On Sunday, Cam Little and Jake Bates became the first pair of former Razorback kickers to play in an NFL game.

The two were teammates at Arkansas in 2022. Little kicked field goals while Bates was primarily the kickoff specialist.

Early in Sunday’s game, Cam Little hit a 59-yard field goal to give the Jaguars the early 3-0 lead at Ford Field, tying the franchise record set in 2010 by Josh Scobee and 2019 by Josh Lambo.

The Lions offense would then respond with 28 unanswered before Little kicked another field goal, this one from 35 yards, before halftime.

Late in the game, Bates would kick a 54-yard field goal, four yards short of the record he set a week earlier against the Houston Texans.

Bates also kicked seven extra points in the Lions’ 52-6 win over the Jaguars.

Since the beginning of the regular season, the two have combined to go 30-31 on field goals and 5-5 on kicks longer than 50 yards.

Earlier this year, Bates made three field goals of 60 yards or longer when he was playing for the Michigan Panthers in the United Football League before signing with the Lions.

Little was drafted in the sixth round by the Jaguars in April becoming the first Arkansas kicker drafted since 2014.

The Associated Press contributed to the report.
