SEC Tournament: Arkansas drops opening game against South Carolina

HOOVER, AL (Pig Trail Nation)- Arkansas opened up SEC Tournament action on Wednesday with South Carolina falling 6-5.
Ben Bybee starting on the mound for the Hogs, going 2.1 innings, striking out 1, giving up 3 hits and 2 runs.
Hagen Smith wins SEC Pitcher of the Year; Other Hogs win SEC Honors
The Hogs trailed 4-2 in the 6th before tying it back up in the 7th inning. Unfortunately a 2-run home run by Cole Messina in the top of the 9th gave the lead back to South Carolina. Arkansas made it a 6-5 game in the bottom of the inning, but left runners on the corners after a pop-up by Jared Sprague-Lott to end the game.
Arkansas will face Kentucky tomorrow at 9:30am on the SEC Network.
