NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Arkansas women’s basketball (8-13) fell to 1-5 in SEC play after a 101-60 loss to Vanderbilt (16-4, 3-3 SEC) at Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville.

The Commodores shot lights out from beyond the arc (13-25, 52%) for the entire game and led by as many as 45 points. From the field, the home team finished at 58%(39-69).

The Razorbacks couldn’t get any closer than 19 points in the third quarter, when they outscored Vanderbilt, 20-19, for Arkansas’ highest scoring period of the game.

The Commodores also took advantage of the Hogs’ season-high 26 turnovers and scored 40 points off that total, the most points off turnovers Arkansas has given up this season.

Vanderbilt finished with five players in double figures, led by Mikayla Blakes (24 points).

Arkansas was led by Carly Keats’s 16 points, Karley Johnson’s career high 14, and Phoenix Stotijn with 8 and Izzy Higginbottom’s 7.

It was the second straight game that Higginbottom, the SEC’s leading scorer at 24.3 points per game, had been limited to less than double figures after doing so in her previous 30 games.
