FAYETTEVILLE — As expected, Lancaster (Texas) cornerback Victor Lincoln has flipped his commitment from Oklahoma State to Arkansas.

Lincoln, 6-0 ,175, had committed to Oklahoma State on April 28, but took an official visit to Arkansas June 20-22 and fell in love with the place. He told Hogville and Pig Trail Nation on why he flipped his pledge.

“The program, relationship with the head coach, the players, the nutrition center,” Lincoln said. “The defensive scheme that I’m going to be in and how I’m going to thrive in it, it’s just all-around greatness.”

Lincoln is the 24th pledge for the Hogs and talked about what kind of cornerback the team is getting in him.

“They will get a dominant player and a player who is not afraid to compete,” Lincoln said.

When he visited Selman Bridges and Nigel Pringle hosted him. They made a strong impression on him as did the coaches.

“The players, the facility,” Lincoln said. “The food, I ain’t going to lie, the food. And then the coaching staff, they feel like home. When I first came to Coach T-Will’s crib, it felt like I’m already at home like ‘Where’s the food at?’ I’m walking with my slides on like ‘where’s the food at?’

“They said they loved it here. They were like ‘you’ll see why.’ I saw why on the first day.”

In addition, Lancaster said the Razorbacks have a current and long-range plan for him.

“The coaches and what they have planned for the kids,” Lincoln said. “It’s not ‘you come down here and we’ll see.’ They’ve got a plan for your freshman, sophomore, junior year and your senior year, too. You’re going to get a degree.”
