FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Arkansas athletic director Hunter Yurachek says the university’s NIL collective, Arkansas Edge, will enforce any NIL agreement violated by student-athletes moving forward.
“I have spoken with the leadership team at Arkansas Edge and expressed my support in their pursuit to enforce their rights under any agreement violated by our student-athletes moving forward,” Yurachek said in a statement posted to X on Tuesday. “We appreciate Edge’s investment in our student-athletes and acknowledge the enforcement of these agreements is vital in our new world of college athletics. We look forward to continued dialogue with all parties in resolving these.”
Arkansas QB Madden Iamaleava to enter the transfer portal
While a single athlete was not mentioned in Yurachek’s statement, the news comes one day after multiple outlets reported that true freshman quarterback Madden Iamaleava planned to enter the transfer portal after spending the spring in Fayetteville.
Not long after it was announced he planned to hit the portal, Iamaleava committed to UCLA, following his brother, Nico.
Iamaleava originally was committed to UCLA coming out of high school, but then flipped to the Razorbacks in December.
He is the second Razorback to enter the transfer portal.
