FAYETTEVILLE — Prosper (Texas) four-star offensive tackle Bryce Gilmore was impressed with everything he saw on his official visit to Arkansas this weekend.
Gilmore, 6-5, 290, is among the top recruits in Texas. Gilmore reflected back on his visit.
“It went great with the visit,” Gilmore said. “I still love the culture and everything. Love meeting the players because you learn everything new from the players because they always tell the truth when it comes with the players. Like everyone around here is actually real family. Fayetteville is a great place to be.”
Gilmore is considered among the top recruits, regardless of position, in the Lone Star State. The four-star has already visited Vanderbilt and Arizona State. He will visit Texas Tech, Penn State and Ole Miss following his Fayetteville trip. He has offers from schools all over the nation.
“I’ll be committing July 3rd on my birthday,” Gilmore said.
What did the visit to Arkansas do for its chances of signing you?
“Arkansas definitely went up on my board after this visit,” Gilmore said. “The main reasons are (Eric) Mateos, (Sam) Pittman and the culture. Also the players too because like sometimes you go to a place and some of their best players and starters don’t want to hang with you and get to know you and actually tell you stuff about Arkansas. These players recruited me too. That means a lot to me.”
Left tackle Corey Robinson was his host on the visit.
“It was Corey and a couple go others but Corey was my guy,” Gilmore said. “He was my host. He was literally just chopping it up with me like almost the whole visit. We were just asking questions back to back and he was answering very well. I was asking about his life story and he was asking about mine. We just got close like that.”
