FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas has added Eastern Michigan safety Quintavius Scandrett to the Class of 2025.
Scandrett, 6-2, 200, chose Arkansas over Georgia Tech. In 2024, Scandrett had 55 tackles, 28 solo, 1 interception, 3 pass breakups and a quarterback hurry. He talked to Hogville why he chose the Hogs.
“It’s the SEC,” Scandrett said. “The biggest stage in college football. Why not?”
Scandrett detailed what kind of safety the Hogs were getting.
“I’m real physical,” Scandrett said. “I go get the ball and make plays.”
Marcus Woodson and Deron Wilson along with Travis Williams recruited Scandrett.
“I love them,” Scandrett said. “Real genuine people. They make me laugh, but they also understand the game. Teach you how to play.”
He visited Arkansas officially on Thursday and Friday.
“I had an amazing time,” Scandrett said. “I got to see a lot of different things. The SEC is a different culture.”
Scandrett noted the facilities are a lot different at Arkansas than where he previously played.
“Way different,” Scandrett said.
During the Arkansas visit he met a lot of players and considered that the highlight.
“Just getting with all the guys,” Scandrett said.
