HogvilleNET live analysis w/Kevin McPherson: BREAKING: Boogie Fland declaring for NBA Draft

By Kevin McPherson

LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas freshman Boogie Fland has declared for the 2025 NBA Draft, as expected.

Fland (6-2 guard) did not specify in his social media announcement on Friday whether or not he’d leave the door open to the possibility of returning to Arkansas for his sophomore season in 2025-26, but it is widely believed he will remain in the NBA Draft.

Fland becomes the first one-and-done player in the John Calipari era at Arkansas, and the fifth in school history.

He has been receiving late-first to mid-second round mock draft projections.

An NBA scout told Hogville in late March that he thought Fland’s most likely draft range was picks 25-40.

Prior to a thumb injury that required surgery and caused him to miss 15 consecutive games, Fland averaged 15.1 points, 5.7 assists (including a 3.7:1 assist-to-turnover ratio), and 1.5 steals through his first 18 outings in 2024-25.

He returned for Arkansas’ three NCAA Tournament games, aiding in a Sweet Sixteen run with a combined 12 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals, and only 1 turnovers in a collective 53 minutes.

Fland was recently named a Freshman All American by CollegeInsider.com

He was a 5-star McDonald’s All American as a high school senior in ’23-24.
