FAYETTEVILLE — Shreveport (La.) Captain Shreve Class of 2025 three-sport offensive lineman Lionel Prudhomme was among the 10 recruits at Arkansas this weekend.

Following the visit, Prudhomme, 6-3, 290, gave the visit some positive feedback. He also praised Sam Pittman and offensive line coach Eric Mateos.

“The visit went great, I had a great time hanging out with Coach Pitt and Coach Mateos,” Prudhomme said. “They talked to me a lot about how much of a priority I am and how much they want me.”

How much of an impression did that make on you with the talk about being a priority?

“Arkansas is really like in the top, really, they could be number one after today,” Prudhomme said. “I was really liking Arkansas. Arkansas is a great fit, I really like it.”

Any chance you make a commitment soon?

“I don’t know, we’re still trying to see,” Prudhomme said.

The Shreveport offensive lineman talked about what visits are upcoming for him.

“The next visit I go on is Tulane, then I’ll be going to Texas Tech and then Mississippi State,” Prudhomme said.

As far as the visit to Arkansas, what was some of the things you learned about Arkansas?

“This trip, I learned what Fayetteville is really about,” Prudhomme said. “It’s not just Arkansas here, like the University of Arkansas. There’s really more than the university.”

Prudhomme got to hang out with a current starter at offensive tackle. His host was Michigan State transfer Keyshawn Blackstock.

“Really, hanging out with Keyshawn Blackstock,” Prudhomme said. “That was really a highlight of the trip.”

Prudhomme talked about what Blackstock told him about playing for the Hogs.

“That it’s a great fit for me, a great school to be at, that they’re really going to take care of me and stuff,” Prudhomme said.
