FAYETTEVILLE — When Madden Iamaleava opted to enter the transfer portal and go to UCLA it immediately opened up the question would Arkansas try and sign a quarterback to replace him?

Arkansas currently has four scholarship quarterbacks and one committed for the Class of 2026. But, despite that, it appears Arkansas feels it does need another scholarship quarterback. They are targeting Florida State true freshman Trever Jackson, 6-3, 187.

Jackson saw action in one game in 2024 for the Seminoles. He carried once for two yards in a 41-7 win over Charleston Southern. He redshirted thus will have four years of eligibility remaining at his new school.

Coming out of Winter Garden (Fla.) Jones High School in the Class of 2025, Jackson was rated a four-star recruit. The 247Composite rated him the nation’s No. 22 quarterback, ESPN rated him No. 30 and On3 placed him at the No. 35 quarterback nationally.

The current Arkansas quarterbacks are senior Taylen Green, redshirt freshman KJ Jackson, true freshman Grayson Wilson and redshirt sophomore Blake Boda. Redshirt sophomore Austin Ledbetter is a preferred walk-on as well.
