FAYETTEVILLE, AR. (KNWA/KFTA) – Arkansas wide receiver Ismael Cisse suffered a wrist injury that will require surgery, the university confirmed to Pig Trail Nation on Thursday afternoon.

There is currently not a timetable on his return.

Cisse transferred to the Razorbacks from Stanford where he played in all 12 games for the Cardinal with five starts.

He finished the season with 26 catches for 241 yards and two touchdowns.

Offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino gave Cisse a lot of praise this past spring.

“We’re trying to find out who’s going to be that one go-to guy when you need a first down and that you can count on to get open and catch the ball when you’re sometimes not open. I think that’s one of the things that we haven’t done as well as I would like is to catch the ball when you’re contested, and still be able to catch the ball. (Ismael) Cisse’s been the one that has done that better than anybody else so far,” Petrino said.

We will update this story as we learn more.
