FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) – Some big news for the Arkansas men’s basketball team as point guard Boogie Fland could return to play in the NCAA Tournament.

ESPN’s Seth Greenberg first reported the news as he said John Calipari sent him a text saying that Fland “is working out. He’s expected to go full practice tomorrow. Unless he gets a setback, they expect him to play in their next game.”

After that news came out, the university put out a statement saying that he has been “medically cleared to resume basketball activities and will begin practicing with the team immediately. Barring any setbacks, he is anticipated to be available to play in the NCAA Tournament.”

Fland hasn’t played for the Razorbacks since Jan. 18 as he’s been out dealing with a hand injury.

He sustained that injury in a game with Florida, but played two more games before he had to sit out.

Over 18 games, Fland averaged 15.1 points and 5.7 assists for the Hogs.
