Bracketology: Where Arkansas’s tournament chances stand entering March

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — After the Razorbacks picked up an 86-81 overtime victory over the Texas Longhorns on Wednesday, some national media outlets said Arkansas was comfortably into the NCAA Tournament.
Arkansas currently sits at 17-11 and 6-9 in conference play with three games remaining in the regular season, at South Carolina and Vanderbilt and at home against Mississippi State.
With the win over the Longhorns, here’s where Arkansas is projected to land in the March Madness seeding ahead of Saturday’s game against South Carolina:
On3.com projects a March Madness 10-seed for Arkansas in the West region against 7-seed BYU in Milwaukee.
TeamRankings.com also projects Arkansas as a 10-seed.
ESPN’s Joe Lunardi projects a 10-seed against 7-seed Memphis in the East Region in Raleigh.
CBS Sports projects an 11-seed against 11-seed Xavier in the First Four in Dayton.
FOX Sports projects an 11-seed against 11-seed Virginia Commonwealth in the First Four in Dayton.
USA Today projects 10-seed for Arkansas in the Midwest region against 7-seed BYU in Cleveland.
NCAA.com projects an 11-seed against 6-seed UCLA in the West Region.

ESPN writer Neil Paine gives Arkansas a 51 percent chance of making the NCAA Tournament after its win over Texas.
Analytics show that barring a winless stretch to end the regular season and a loss in the first round of the SEC Tournament, Arkansas should be in the NCAA Tournament field without having to play in the First Four in Dayton.

Arkansas will officially learn its NCAA Tournament fate on Selection Sunday on March 16.
The Razorbacks face South Carolina in Columbia at noon on Saturday. The game will be televised on the SEC Network.
