FAYETTEVILLE — Rogers 4-star linebacker Braxton Lindsey is among the top prospects in the country and has a long list of offers to prove it.

Lindsey, 6-3, 234, is capable of playing either linebacker or tight end at the next level. The Hogs want him for defense. This could come down to Hogs, Oklahoma or Missouri. As a junior, playing an average of just 15 snaps a game on defense he had 28 tackles, five for loss, nine sacks, 10 quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles and pair of pass breakups. On offense, Lindsey caught 62 passes for 1,139 yards and 14 touchdowns. Following the visit, Lindsey provided feedback on it including Sam Pittman and Travis Williams.

“I really liked it, I like the people here,” Lindsey said. “Coach Pitt, obviously Coach T-Will, they’ve got their priorities straight. I just liked everything about it.

“I think just spending time with Coach (Ryan) Bright and Coach T-Will. Great people.”

Lindsey wanted to emphasize the people at Arkansas is a strong drawing point for him.

“Oh yeah, for sure,” Lindsey said. “Really just the main thing, staying at home, we’re the only show in the state. It’d be pretty cool to play for the Hogs. I’d just like reiterate that I love all the people here. It was really enticing.”

Lindsey admitted the official visit helped Arkansas’ chances for him.

“It definitely upped them, for sure,” Lindsey said. “Coming into the visit, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Especially Coach T-Will, he’s the first person — we were watching film and he put on the highlights of just how I can get better. It was kind of a low-light (reel), if you will. I really respect the honesty they have here.”

Lindsey said he’s still deciding on when he will announce a decision.

“I’m thinking the end of July,” Lindsey said. “End of July I’ll announce it.”
