Fayetteville, AR (PIG TRAIL NATION)- Started in honor of former Razorback Brandon Burlsworth, the Burlsworth Foundation and the Burls Kids have been doing it “The Burls Way” for 25 years.

“That’s that’s the biggest thing. It’s more than attending a football game,” says founder of the Burlsworth Foundation, Marty Burlsworth, “That’s great because that’s kind of a highlight. But what they what they’re what they do, they learn about Brandon. And when you learn about Brandon, you learn about hard work, and adversity. A lot of these kids, you know, come from maybe home lives that aren’t that great.”

You’ll find the Burls Kids in Section 128 of Razorback Stadium. Those first three rows have only been sat in by Burls Kids since the South Endzone Expansion happened.

The Burls Kids initiative also takes place at War Memorial Stadium when the Hogs play in Little Rock, and at Lucas Oil Stadium. Why Indianapolis? Brandon was drafted by the Colts before he died in a car accident in 1999.

It’s important, I guess you could say, for me,” adds Burlsworth, “As much as anything, he had worked so hard to get to that level. And and, you know, it was his idea.”
