Charles Bass talks return trip to Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE — East St. Louis (Ill.) Class of 2025 four-star defensive back Charles Bass returned to Arkansas on an official visit.

Bass, 6-2, 190, was at Arkansas for a spring practice, but since this was an official visit he obviously saw much more of the school and what it has to offer.

“It was great,” Bass said. “I got to meet some players and coaches.”

Bass compared this visit to the unofficial he took earlier.

“The intensity was great in practice,” Bass said of earlier visit. “I came down to check out everything. The city, I got to meet some more people. I like Arkansas. It’s a real good contender.”

Then the visit helped them?

“It pushed them up a couple of spots,” Bass said.

Bass talked about what is next and then when a decision might come.

“Illinois next week,” Bass said. “Late July for a decision.”

Marcus Woodson, Deron Wilson and the other coaches have made a good impression on Bass.

“I love the coaches,” Bass said. “They are really enthusiastic about playing. They care about their kids.”
