
Coach Pittman set to return to Arkansas as head coach for sixth season in 2025

Fayetteville, AR (KNWA/KFTA) – Coach Sam Pittman will return to Arkansas for his sixth season as head coach, per Action Network’s Brett McMurphy.
Hogville’s Otis Kirk reported the news about Pittman’s return a few weeks prior to this announcement.
There had been speculation that Pittman might retire following the conclusion of the 2024 season due to his hip.
Through five seasons, Arkansas is 29-31 with four bowl invitations. Arkansas finished the ’24 regular season 6-6 after a 4-8 campaign in 2023.
Pittman went 3-7 in his first season in 2020 during a season shortened due to Covid-19. In 2021, he turned in his best season at 9-4. In 2021, the Hogs finished 7-6 with a Liberty Bowl victory.
With his sixth season under his belt, Pittman will become the longest tenured Arkansas head coach since Houston Nutt manned the Razorbacks from 1998-2007.
Arkansas learns its 2024 bowl fate after conference championship weekend on Sunday, December 8th.
