Diamond Hogs land junior college pitcher Biller to 2025 recruiting class

FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas not only got another look at its current5 roster on Friday, but also added in the pledge of a hard-throwing 2025 right handed pitcher.
Johnson County (Kan.) Community College redshirt freshman pitcher Denton Biller (6-4, 205) chose the Razorbacks over Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Alabama and others.
Biller, who fast ball has topped out at 97 miles per hour announced his decision via social media on Friday night.
“I decided to be a Razorback because they put together a really good team of coaches that I believe will help me be the best pitcher I can become,” Biller said via X. “They also are one of the best teams in all of college baseball every year. Fayetteville is also a great town with a bunch of loyal, supportive fans.”
In addition to a fast ball that goes 94-96, Biller also reports a sweeper from 77-79, a cutter from 84-85 and a change up at 84-85.
Biller was a high school standout for Agency (Mo.) Mid-Buchanan High School before matriculating to junior college and redshirting for Johnson County during the 2024 season.
A four-year starter in high school, Biller fanned 73 batters in 35.1 innings with an ERA of 0.79 as a junior and hit .475 as a senior.
Biller was 3-0 this summer with a 2.51 ERA and fanned 40 batters in 28 1/3 innings while pitching for the league champion St. Joseph Mustangs in the MINK Collegiate Baseball League.
He was named a first-team all-league performer and also the MINK Pitfher of the Week on July 15
That came after throwing five no-hit innings, walking two and fanning 10 of the 17 batters he faced in what turned into a 2-1 win over Sedalia in extra innings.

The Gray used a five-run bottom of the sixth to rally and down the Red 5-4 in Arkansas’ fifth Fall Baseball scrimmage.
Razorback catcher Ryder Helfrick had the decisive blow in the sixth in a scrimmage where the Red jumped out to a 3-0 lead.
Wehiwa Aloy hit a solo homer for the Red.
The two teams will have open scrimmages Saturday and Sunday with both days having first pitch at 11 a.m.
