DT Elinus Noel III set to take official visit to Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE — Texas Southern defensive tackle Elinus Noel III has set an official visit to Arkansas for Friday.

Noel, 6-2, 330, had a very good season in 2023. He finished with 42 tackles, 19 solo, seven for loss, 3.5 sacks and a quarterback hurry.

He entered the transfer portal on April 16. In addition to Arkansas, he has offers from such schools as Baylor, Maryland, Kansas State and numerous others. The offers started pouring in fast for this tackle who will definitely be a key recruit at his new school.

Arkansas has no defensive tackles in the Class of 2024. The Hogs are hosting Tawfiq Thomas, 6-4, 310, from Louisville today. Sam Pittman has said he would like to add two defensive tackles in this class.

Arkansas currently has gained two commitments for 2024’s late portal period. They are former Florida State running back Rodney Hill, 5-10, 190, and Jacksonville State linebacker Larry Worth, 6-4, 220. They still have eight scholarships available.
