FAYETTEVILLE — The 2025 NFL Draft will be held April 24-26 and ESPN’s Matt Miller has done a full seven-round mock draft.
He projects three Razorbacks to hear their names called during the three-day event. Miller projects edge Landon Jackson going to the Las Vegas Raiders in Round 3 with pick 68. The next Razorback projected to be drafted is wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa in Round 5 with pick 157 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In Round 7, Miller has wide receiver Andrew Armstrong going to the New Orleans Saints with pick 248.
The Razorbacks sent five players to the NFL Scouting Combine, but Miller doesn’t project running back Ja’Quinden Jackson or defensive lineman Eric Gregory to be drafted. That is a little bit of surprise on Gregory since versatile defensive linemen are hard to find.
Jackson played 42 games in college with 37 of them at Arkansas and five at LSU. All his stats though were while at Arkansas. He had 116 tackles, 58 solo, 28 for loss, 16 sacks, five pass deflections, two forced fumbles and recovered one.
TeSlaa played two seasons with the Razorbacks. In 25 games, TeSlaa caught 62 passes for 896 yards and five touchdowns. He had one carry for no yardage.
Armstrong also played two seasons with the Hogs. In 23 games, Armstrong caught 134 passes for 1,904 yards and six touchdowns.
The last time the Razorbacks had three players drafted in the same year was 2022 when wide receiver Treylon Burks (1), defensive lineman John Ridgeway (5) and defensive back Montaric Brown (7) were taken.
Last year, kicker Cam Little (6) and offensive lineman Beaux Limmer (6) were drafted. In 2023, linebacker Drew Sanders (3) and offensive lineman Ricky Stromberg (3) heard their names called.
In 2021, defensive lineman Jonathan Marshall (6) was drafted. Those are all the players drafted who played for Sam Pittman.
‘In the two years Chad Morris coached the Hogs in 2018-19 five players were drafted though all were recruited by Bret Bielema. While Bielema was the head coach from 2013-17 the NFL drafted 19 Razorbacks. In 2013 after one year of John L. Smith coaching Arkansas four players drafted though all were recruited by Bobby Petrino.
Petrino coached at Arkansas from 2008-2011. In those four years, the Razorbacks had 13 players chosen. Houston Nutt was the head coach of the Razorbacks from 1998-2007 and in that span 32 players were drafted. In 2008 the Hogs had six players drafted including two in the first round. Darren McFadden was the fourth-overall pick and Felix Jones (22). Both were outstanding running backs. Arkansas also had six players chosen in the 2004 NFL Draft. Offensive lineman Shawn Andrews and cornerback Ahmad “Batman” Carroll were taken in the first round.
Danny Ford was the head coach of the Hogs from 1993-97. During that span six Razorbacks went on to be drafted by NFL teams. Since the Razorbacks started SEC play in 1992 they have had eight players drafted in Round 1. In that same span 84 Razorbacks who played in the SEC for Arkansas were drafted.
