FAYETTEVILLE — FanDuel Sportsbook has set the projected win totals for all the SEC schools and Arkansas comes in at 5.5 for the over, under during the regular season.

Arkansas is coming off a 4-8 season that included only one SEC win. The Razorbacks do have a schedule that doesn’t include Alabama, Georgia and Oklahoma. Georgia and Texas lead the SEC projections with both at 10.5 for the regular season.

That would be a great start to SEC play for the Longhorns coming over from the Big 12. Oklahoma, other new school to the SEC, is projected at 7.5 wins.

Alabama, Ole Miss, LSU and Missouri are next at 9.5 wins. Alabama no longer has Nick Saban heading the program so there’s obviously some uncertainty surrounding the Tide despite what appears to be a good hire in Kalen DeBoer.

A couple of Arkansas opponents, Tennessee and Texas A&M, do project to have 8.5 wins. Auburn joins the Sooners at 7.5 wins.

The remainder of the SEC includes Florida (5.5), Kentucky (6.5), Mississippi State (4.5), South Carolina (5.5) and Vanderbilt (2.5).

The Razorbacks do travel to Stillwater in the second week of the season to face Oklahoma State. The Cowboys are projected to win 7.5 games.

Arkansas has a new offensive coordinator in Bobby Petrino, offensive line coach in Eric Mateos and wide receiver’s coach Ronnie Fouch. Jimmy Smith returns to coach the running backs and Morgan Turner the tight ends. Petrino will coach quarterbacks as well. Scott Fountain returns to coach the special teams.

The defensive staff remains intact with Travis Williams the defensive coordinator and coaching linebackers. Deke Adams mans the defensive line. The secondary has Marcus Woodson and Deron Wilson. Woodson serves as co-defensive coordinator as well.

Arkansas will open the 2024 season on Saturday, Aug. 31, against UAPB in Little Rock’s War Memorial Stadium.
