Five Razorbacks invited to NFL Combine

FAYETTEVILLE — Five Arkansas Razorbacks have been invited to compete at the NFL Combine when the league holds its annual pre-Draft event in Indianapolis, Ind. beginning February 24 inside Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Razorbacks selected are Andrew Armstrong and Isaac TeSlaa, both wide receivers, running back Ja’Quinden Jackson and Eric Gregory as well as Landon Jackson, both defensive linemen.

Of the group only Gregory came to Arkansas as a freshman. The other four were signed from the transfer portal. Gregory wrapped up a solid career in 2024 having played in 61 games with 44 starts for the Razorbacks on the defensive line. The Memphis, Tenn. native was a stalwart on the defensive front, starting 24 straight games and 34 of his final 37 games. In 2024, Gregory put up career-highs in tackles (42), tackles for loss (5.0) and sacks (3.0).

Jackson came to Arkansas from LSU. Jackson topped the Hogs in sacks each of the last two seasons, including 6.5 last season to push his career total to 16.0 in three seasons at Arkansas. He seemingly helped his NFL stock with a stellar week at the Senior Bowl, capped with two tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a strip-sack in the game. The All-SEC defensive end is the Razorbacks’ highest rated prospect with ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. ranking him the second-best defensive end in the class.

Armstrong had one of the best seasons in Arkansas history in 2024, earning First-Team All-SEC recognition after leading the league in receptions (78), yards (1,140) and receiving yards per game (103.6). He recorded five 100-yard games despite playing in just 11 of the team’s 13 games to match Anthony Lucas (1998) and Anthony Eubanks (1997) for second-most in a single season in program history. Armstrong’s 78 receptions and 1,140 yards both rank second all-time at Arkansas. Armstrong came to Arkansas from Texas A&M-Commerce prior to the 2023 season.

TeSlaa was impressive at both the Reese’s Senior Bowl, where he caught two passes for 35 yards and a pair of two-point conversions, and the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. He had three catches for 107 yards in the win over Texas Tech in the bowl game. His 545 yards during the season were second to only Armstrong on the Hogs’ roster with his three touchdown catches also ranking second. He recorded two 100-yard games in his final season. TeSlaa first played at Hillsdale (Mich.) College.

Ja’Quinden Jackson transferred to Arkansas from Utah for the 2024 season. He earned Second-Team All-SEC honors after leading the Hogs with 790 yards in just 10 games and scoring 15 rushing TDs to rank third in the league. His 15 rushing scores were the most by a Razorback since Alex Collins scored a program-record 20 in 2015. Jackson started his Arkansas career with three consecutive 100-yard games, including a season-best 149 yards and three touchdowns at Oklahoma State.
