Former Razorback pitcher promoted to Northwest Arkansas Naturals

SPRINGDALE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A former Razorback pitcher is headed back to the Natural State after being promoted to the Northwest Arkansas Naturals on Monday.
Caden Monke, a left-handed pitcher who has spent the last three years with the Single-A Quad Cities River Bandits in Davenport, Iowa, was promoted to the Naturals.

During his time with the River Bandits, Monke appeared in 41 games since 2021 where he pitched 80 innings, striking out 87 batters. Monke did not pitch in the 2024 season due to injury.
Monke pitched for three seasons with the Razorbacks and was a member of the 2021 team that recorded a school-record 687 strikeouts.
He was selected by the Kansas City Royals with the 409th pick of the 14th round of the 2021 MLB Draft.
The Naturals are back in action on the road against the San Antonio Missions on Tuesday night.
