MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Arkansas battled Texas Tech in the 66th AutoZone Liberty Bowl on Friday night and it was full of action. Here are the numbers from Memphis last night.

1– Braylen Russell ran 1 yard for Arkansas’ second TD in the first quarter.

2– Arkansas won the turnover margin 2 to 1. Their 6th victory of the season where Arkansas won the turnover margin

4– Arkansas had 4 TFL (-13 yards) to Texas Tech’s 7 (-27 yards).

10– Xavian Sorey had 5 solo tackles and 10 total to earn the Arkansas’ most valuable defensvie player for the game.

12– Taylen Green ran 12 yards in the first quarter for Arkansas’ first TD.

23– Arkansas had 23 first downs to Tech’s 20.

31– C J Brown caught a pass for 31 yards from Green.

31– Green completed 11 passes for 341 yards for an average of 31 yards per reception.

44– Arkansas possessed the ball 44 seconds more than the Red Raiders 30:22 to 29:38.

56– Teslaa’s longest pass play went for 56 yards.

70– Rodney Hill’s longest run from scrimmage was 70 yards in the first quarter.

71– Arkansas had 71 plays from scrimmage to Tech’s 66.

81– Both, Taylen Green and Rodney Hill rushed for 81 yards against Texas Tech.

94– Dazmin James caught an Autozone Liberty Bowl record TD catch of 94 yards for Arkansas’ 3rd TD in the first quarter.

107– Issac Teslaa caught 3 passes for 107 yards.

137– Dazmin James caught 3 passes for 137 yards earning the most valuable player offensively for Arkansas.

218– Arkansas outrushed Texas Tech 218 to 217 yards for the game.

280– Texas Tech had 280 passing yards.

341– Taylen Green threw 341 yards in breaking Bill Montgomery’s all-time Arkansas bowl record of 338 yards against Ole Miss in the Sugar Bowl in 1970. Green was also the Most Valuable Player for the game.

497– Texas Tech had 497 yards of offense.

559– Arkansas’ total offense was 559 yards.

1,056– The Razorbacks and the Red Raiders offenses were in overdrive with a total 1,056 yards for the game. This was 228 yards short of the Autozone Liberty Bowl record of 1,284 in the Arkansas/Kansas game of 2022.

Arkansas finished their season with a 7-6 record. Although Arkansas proved throughout the year that they were a good team, their record could have been much better. Nevertheless, Coach Sam Pittman and his staff have taken a good step forward from the 2023 season of 4-8.
