Hogs land Evangel FB Ashton Dawson

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas has landed Shreveport (La.) Evangel fullback Ashton Dawson for the Class of 2026.

Dawson, 6-2, 285, was at Arkansas on Wednesday when Evangel won the 7-on-7 tournament hosted by the Hogs. Dawson is the 22nd commitment for Arkansas. He chose the Hogs over offers from Florida State and others.

He played both ways for Evangel. On offense, he had two carries for 24 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and two catches for 15 yards and a touchdown in 2024. On defense, Dawson also recorded 103 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, four sacks, three quarterback hurries, one forced fumble and a blocked field goal.
