FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas added Franklin (Tenn.) Page Class of 2025 punter Gavin Rush on Wednesday as a preferred walk on.

Rush, 6-3, 170, announced his decision on X. He attended a specialist’s camp at Arkansas in June and impressed Scott Fountain at that time. Kohl’s Kicking Camp ranks him the nation’s No. 5 punter in his class. Click here for Rush’s commitment quotes.

Rush had a scholarship offer from Western Kentucky and offers also from Army and Air Force.

Here are Kohl’s comments on Rush.

“Rush had another excellent performance at the 2024 Southern Showcase Camp. His hands and overall coordination is at the D1 level. His drill work and charts show he is ready to compete at the D1 level. Rush scored 114 points from the pocket at camp. His drill work and overall potential should interest college coaches. At Kohl’s National Scholarship Camp in 2023, he was impressive over the three charting sessions. His biggest charted punt was 53 yards with 4.37 seconds of hang time. His overall score at camp was 101.58 points. His hard work is paying off and we look forward to seeing what he can do in the next year! Rush competed at the Southern Showcase Camp in May of 2023. He did well in both the drill work and charting portion of camp. He charted a score of 102.04 points in punting. He is one of the top 2025 punters in the country and should be highly sought after this summer!”

Arkansas has 17 scholarship commitments for 2025 and the PWO from Rush.
