Hogs land RB Cameron Settles

DURANT, Okla. — Arkansas has landed Class of 2025 running back Cameron Settles from Little Rock Parkview.

Settles, 5-11, 195, chose the Hogs on Saturday evening over Missouri, Yale, Memphis and Tulsa. He joins teammate, athlete Quentin Murphy, choosing the Hogs from Parkview. He visited Arkansas the June 14 weekend and was impressed with everything the Hogs had to offer. He also visited for the Hogwild Hangout this past Saturday.

“It was amazing,” Settles said. “They showed lots of love and it just felt like a place I could stay and call home. It was an amazing atmosphere. I loved it.”

Settles is the second running back for Arkansas in the Class of 2025. He joins Atlanta (Texas) High’s Markeylin Batton committing to Kolby Smith, Arkansas’ running back coach.

“Coach Kolby Smith, that’s my guy,” Settles said.

Settles talked about what he feels are his strengths on the field.

“I feel like I see the field well,” Settles said. “I’m very explosive and I’m patient. When I see an opening I take off. I’m patient with it because I see that opening well. I’m very intelligent when I’m running too. I’m smart when it comes to that.”
