FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas currently has signed 22 high school recruits, two from junior college and 16 in the transfer portal.

That is 40 new football players slated to play for the Razorbacks in 2025. Arkansas isn’t finished though recruiting from the transfer portal. The remaining needs appear to be a wide receiver, tight end or two, an offensive lineman, defensive tackle and some defensive backs with at least one safety. Only the Arkansas coaches know their exact needs, but that should be close to accurate.

The next window for midterm portal visitors is Jan. 1-5. A few prospects are known to be planning to visit. Among them are Auburn safety Caleb Wooden, 6-1, 192; Maryland offensive lineman Marcus Dumervil, 6-5, 310; Virginia Union wide receiver Reginald Vick, 6-3, 185; and Eastern Michigan wide receiver Markus Allen, 6-2, 212.

Wooden started at free safety for Auburn this season. This season, Wooden had 17 tackles, including 12 solo, 1 pass deflection and an interception. He had 3 tackles against the Hogs on Saturday, Sept. 21. He has 39 career tackles.

Dumervil played in 10 of 12 games for Maryland this season with three starts at left tackle. At LSU in 2021, Dumervil made a start against Arkansas.

With Eastern Michigan in 2024, Allen caught 43 passes for 651 yards and 3 touchdowns. Allen previously played at Wisconsin and transferred to Eastern Michigan from Butler County (Kan.) Community College. At Wisconsin in 2022, Allen caught 7 passes for 91 yards and a touchdown. He redshirted as a freshman in 2021 playing in only three games. He caught 3 passes for 65 yards.

Vick had a big season in 2024. Vick caught 48 passes for 1,164 yards and 12 touchdowns.
