FAYETTEVILLE — Carthage (Texas) Class of 2025 three-star offensive lineman Kash Courtney is committed to Baylor, but still keeping an open mind with the Hogs.

Courtney, 6-4, 275, was among the 13 official visitors at Arkansas. Courtney committed to Baylor on Oct. 29, but Eric Mateos was an assistant for the Bears then. He’s at Arkansas now. So Courtney took an official visit to Arkansas this weekend.

“Man it was great,” Courtney said. “Everybody was excited. It was a fun trip. Last time I was here we saw a little bit, but I’m glad it was in more detail. Just a general good trip.”

Courtney talked about the highlight of the visit.

“The Jones Center and workers there so involved with the students making sure they have everything they need for week,” Courtney said. “Making sure all their work is done. I thought that was pretty cool.”

You committed to Baylor when Coach Mateos was there. Is that you are still interested in Arkansas?

“Yes sir, it is,” Courtney said.

With his pledge to Baylor, Courtney talked about where he was in the process right now.

“Right now it’s kinda 50-50 between Arkansas and Baylor,” Courtney said.

What is next as far as visits?

“Baylor and that’s it. It’s on June 21-23,” Courtney said. “I will definitely have a decision soon after that.”

Courtney is a consensus three-star recruit with all four of the major recruiting services.
