FAYETTEVILLE — The nation’s top junior college cornerback Keshawn Davila has chosen Arkansas over UCLA, Virginia Tech and a long list of other schools offering.

Davila, 6-1, 170, announced for Arkansas on Saturday after spending time earlier in the week officially visiting. Davila had 25 tackles, 20 solo, 1 for loss, 3 interceptions and 7 pass breakups this season. He told Hogville why he chose the Hogs.

“Because of the coaches,” Davila said. “It really felt like family here. I’m going to have a good chance to come in here and play too.”

Since committing to Arkansas following his visit to Fayetteville Davila provided feedback on the trip.

“It was really good,” Davila said. “All the coaches were genuine. It felt like home. It’s a good environment and city.”

Davila figured Arkansas would be a good visit, but it exceeded all his expectations.

“Yes sir,” Davila said. “Most definitely. I thought the city would be small, but it was big. I really love the facilities. The weight room is big. The indoor, stadium is big.”

Arkansas finished 6-6 on the season, but had several close losses. Davila feels optimism for the 2025 season.

“Yes sir,” Davila said. “I feel like they get some cornerbacks on the back end a lot of games would have been winnable.”

Davila didn’t hesitate to praise Sam Pittman when asked what the highlight of the visit was.

“The head coach,” Pittman said. “I really enjoyed Coach Pittman.”

Davila also talked about what he feels are his strengths on the field since he plays a position of need for the Razorbacks.

“Speed,” Davila said. “I get a lot of picks. I shut down one side.”

Davila is the second junior college recruit for Arkansas. They also have signed Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College offensive tackle Bubba Craig, 6-8, 320.
