FAYETTEVILLE — Fayetteville 3-star safety Kyndrick Williams was at Arkansas twice recently.
He participated in a 7-on-7 tournament on June 18 and then this past weekend he took his official visit. Williams, 6-0, 199, committed to Arkansas on Sept. 19, 2024. Following the official visit he talked about how it went for him.
“It was good,” Williams said. “It validated everything for me. I’m excited to get out here.”
What made it so good?
“Just the coaches,” Williams said. “Like the connection. It just felt real, felt like home. I’ve got to go with that.”
Williams said he had a good time with host Selman Bridges, a cornerback. Williams talked about the highlight.
“Probably the pictures,” Williams said. “It was fun. Everyone was hyping us up. We had a good time doing that.”
Among the 10 official visitors only two were uncommitted. Theodore (Ala.) 4-star linebacker Jaden “JJ” Bush and Lancaster (Texas) 3-star cornerback Victor Lincoln, 6-1, 175, visited. Lincoln is committed to Oklahoma State but strongly considering Arkansas. Williams did speak with the pair about joining him at Arkansas.
“I feel like they liked it,” Williams said. “They’re good. They are doing a good job recruiting them. It just depends on what they feel is best for them.”
Williams confirmed when he will enroll at Arkansas.
“I graduate in December,” Williams said. “I’m excited. I feel like I’m physically got to get better. But I’m getting there. I feel like my game, I’m trusting my game. I will be somewhat ready. I’ve just got to get in there and learn as much as I can.”
