Monterrio Elston focusing on two schools

FAYETTEVILLE — Little Rock Parkview Class of 2025 running back-athlete Monterrio Elston is another recruit closing in on a decision.

Elston, 5-8, 180, was wowed by his official visit to Arkansas this weekend.

“The visit was real nice,” Elston said. “They treated us with good hospitality Coach (Sam) Pittman, he loves us man.  He treated us real good on the visit. I liked it a lot.”

Elston talked about the highlight of the visit.

“Really the relationship the coaches have with the players,” Elston said. “And they showed us what they can do with us in the offense.”

For Elston, the Hogs are battling one other school for his signature. He was asked if this visit helped with Kansas State being the other school in hunt for him.

“Arkansas have been top two but it boosted them a little bit,” Elston said.

While he’s down to two schools Elston isn’t set on an exact date to commit.

“I don’t even really know,” Elston said. “I’m probably going to make one by in two weeks or three weeks.”
