NFL Draft begins Thursday, Hogs hoping to hear name called

FAYETTEVILLE — The NFL Draft begins Thursday, but it will likely be Friday or Saturday before any Razorbacks come off the board.

ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. has released his ratings of the top prospects for each position. Five Razorbacks made the list along with a former Hog who is now at South Carolina. Kicker Cam Little is rated the No. 2 kicker available in the draft. Beaux Limmer is the No. 7 center.

Brady Latham is the No. 24 offensive guard, Dwight McGlothern No. 34 cornerback and Trajan Jeffcoat No. 14 defensive end. Former Arkansas tight end Trey Knox, who transferred to South Carolina for his last season, is the No. 16 tight end.

The first round will be Thursday night. Friday will feature the second and third rounds then the fourth through seventh rounds will wrap up the draft on Saturday. Thursday night’s first round begins at 7 p.m. and is televised on ESPN and ABC.

Little was perfect on 33 point after touchdowns in 2023. He also hit 20 of 24 field goals with a long of 56 yards. Little had one year of eligibility remaining at Arkansas, but opted to leave for the draft.

McGlothern had 20 tackles, including 19 solo, in 2023. He topped the team with three interceptions and forced a fumble. Jeffcoat spent one season at Arkansas after transferring in from Missouri. He had 16 tackles, seven solo, and four sacks.

Knox was second on the Gamecocks with 37 receptions for 312 yards and two touchdowns.

ESPN’s Jordan Reid, an NFL Draft Analyst, did a seven-round mock draft on Monday. He projects Limmer the first Razorback off the board at No. 144 in Round 5 to the Buffalo Bills. In Round 6, Reid has McGlothern going to the New Orleans Saints at No. 190. Just three picks later Reid has the New Engand Patriots taking Little at No. 193.
