Prediction for Arkansas’ 2025 football season
on 2025-07-08 06:25 AM
FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas is coming off a 7-6 season in 2024 and faces what may be the toughest schedule in the nation this fall.
Arkansas has the SEC schedule plus hosting Notre Dame and Alabama A&M in Fayetteville. Arkansas and Arkansas State will battle in Little Rock and the Razorbacks go to Memphis for a non-conference game.
Here’s a game-by-game prediction for the 12 Razorback games this fall.
Saturday, Aug. 30, Alabama A&M, Fayetteville
This is by far the easiest game on Arkansas’ schedule. The Hogs will attempt to win this game, play several players and avoid injuries. Prediction: Hogs (1-0)
Saturday, Sept. 6, Arkansas State, Little Rock
This is the long awaited game for the two schools. Arkansas State has asked for this game for years. One thing is certain the Razorbacks will get Arkansas State’s best shot in this game. Prediction: Hogs (2-0)
Saturday, Sept. 13, Ole Miss, Oxford
This was the most one-sided loss for Arkansas last season. Ole Miss simply destroyed Arkansas in Razorback Stadium. I don’t expect such a one-sided game this season. Prediction: Ole Miss (2-1)
Saturday, Sept. 20, Memphis, Memphis
This is a game that is hard to understand why the Hogs would schedule it. Memphis has a very good team each season and this will be very difficult game for the Hogs. Prediction: Hogs (3-1)
Saturday, Sept. 27, Notre Dame, Fayetteville
This is the first time for these two schools to meet on the field. This is a great opportunity for Arkansas to make its mark on the national scale. Prediction: Notre Dame (3-2)
Saturday, Oct. 11, Tennessee, Knoxville
Each year it seems the Hogs win a game no one expects them to. Last year it was Tennessee and the previous season was at Florida. It’s tempting to pick the Hogs here. Prediction: Tennessee (3-3)
Saturday, Oct. 18, Texas A&M, Fayetteville
The first of three straight SEC games in Razorback Stadium. This game now returns to the campuses of the two schools after years of playing in Arlington. The Aggies have owned the Hogs since joining the SEC. Prediction: Texas A&M (3-4)
Saturday, Oct. 25, Auburn, Fayetteville
This is a game that is considered winnable for the Hogs and they need to take care of business here. Arkansas won at Auburn last season. Prediction: Hogs (4-4)
Saturday, Nov. 1, Mississippi State, Fayetteville
Another school the Hogs beat on the road in Starkville. This is another game that the Hogs should and must win. Prediction: Hogs (5-4)
Saturday, Nov. 15, LSU, Baton Rouge
The Razorbacks and LSU usually play a very close game no matter the records. Last year’s game was close until late in the third quarter when LSU pulled away. Prediction: LSU (5-5)
Saturday, Nov. 22, Texas, Austin
Arkansas lost to Texas last season in Fayetteville in a game that was closer than many predicted. Some feel Texas is vulnerable this season. Prediction: Texas (5-6)
Saturday, Nov. 29, Missouri, Fayetteville
The chance to go to a bowl game is on the table for Arkansas in this one. They seem to find ways to lose to Missouri each year, but not this one. Prediction: Hogs (6-6)
