FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas has landed the nation’s No. 1 junior college tight end with the addition of Chaffey (Calif.) College’s Jeremiah Beck.
Beck, 6-4, 240, fills a big need for the Razorbacks. In 2024, Beck caught 37 passes for 366 yards and 4 touchdowns. In 2023, he grabbed 40 passes for 485 yards and 3 more touchdowns. Beck talked to Hogville and Pig Trail Nation on why he chose Arkansas over offers from 10 other Division I schools.
“I did some research on Morgan Turner’s past and he’s a great coach,” Beck said. “He develops tight ends preparing them to be their best.”
Turner previously coached at Stanford and placed several tight ends in the NFL. In addition to playing for Turner, a chance to compete in the SEC was big for Beck as well.
“That was a childhood dream of mine to play against the best players in nation,” Beck said.
Tight end was one of the remaining needs for the Hogs after signing one from high school and another from the transfer portal. Beck is the third junior college signee for the Razorbacks. They also signed the No. 1 cornerback in Keshawn Davila, 6-1, 170, and an All-America offensive lineman Bubba Craig, 6-8, 320.
Arkansas signed Chico (Calif.) Pleasant Valley tight end Gavin Garretson, 6-7, 240, from the prep ranks. In the portal, the Razorbacks added former Texas A&M tight end Jaden Platt, 6-5, 260. On Sunday, the Hogs also signed Rohan Jones, 6-3, 235, from Montana State.
Beck had signed with Nevada, but was released from that making him eligible to become a Razorback.
