FAYETTEVILLE — Jackson (Miss.) Hartfield Academy Class of 2025 four-star defensive lineman Reginald Vaughn had an outstanding time on his official visit to Arkansas this weekend.

Vaughn, 6-3, 260, was at Arkansas recently for a 7-on-7 tournament and then returned for his official visit. Deke Adams and Sam Pittman made a good impression on him.

“I had a blast,” Vaughn said. “I had time to meet with coach Adams and coach Pitt. It was just a nice environment to be in, place to be,”

Vaughn got to see some of the campus and school when attending the 7-on-7 event, but the official visit allowed him to see the rest.

“It did help Arkansas going forward,” Vaughn said. “I just felt like it wasn’t a script, like the coaches were just being themselves and that’s what I want. For them to be themselves and that’s what I want for them to be their selves. You don’t have to change for me. Just be how you always are.”

He also talked about what he considered the visit highlight.

“The highlight of the trip was probably the Jones Center,” Vaughn said. “The learning environment I would say and player development. That really brought to my attention how Arkansas wants the players to be successful outside of football.”

Vaughn feels the visit helped Arkansas possibly land him in the future. He still has official visits to LSU, Mississippi State and Ole Miss.

“This one sets the bar pretty high,” Vaughn said. “I say coach Adams and coach Pittman I feel like they’re kind of like family. They always just loving on me so I have to love them back because it’s just a lot of love at Arkansas.”
