WATCH: Coach Van Horn and players recap 12-2 victory over South Carolina in game one

Fayetteville, AR (KNWA/KFTA) – Coach Van Horn, as well as Charles Davalan and Zach Root met with the media following No. 3 Arkansas’ 12-2 run-rule victory in seven innings over South Carolina in game one.

Wehiwa Aloy ended the game in the seventh inning with a three run blast to complete the run-rule.

After a subpar outing against Ole Miss last weekend, Root was phenomenal for the Razorbacks on the mound. The southpaw pitched seven innings, allowing two earned runs and striking out seven.

Davalan finished 4-5 at the plate and grabbed himself a RBI as well. Logan Maxwell and Justin Thomas Jr. each added two RBI.

The Hogs and Gamecocks are back at it for game two at 2 p.m. tomorrow inside Baum-Walker Stadium. The game will be streamed on SEC Network Plus.
