Nashville, TN (KNWA/KFTA) – Coach Van Horn, as well as Aiden Jimenez and Gabe Gaeckle met with the media following No. 2 Arkansas’ 6-4 victory over No. 14 Vanderbilt in ten innings. The game two victory clinched the Razorbacks’ first series victory over the Commodores in Nashville since 2010.
Gaeckle bounced back nicely from a rough performance in his start last weekend against South Carolina. The sophomore finished with a line of 5.2 IP, seven strikeouts, and two earned runs.
Jimenez was stellar for the Hogs out of the bullpen. The Oregon State transfer threw three and a third, struck out four, and gave up just a single run.
Cam Kozeal stayed hot hitting in his former ballpark. One day after going yard twice against his former team in game one, Kozeal hit another homer in the second inning. Kozeal entered the series with two home runs in Arkansas’ first 26 games. In two games against Vanderbilt, Kozeal has hit three round trippers.
The Hogs and Commodores are back for game three on Sunday. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. and the game will be televised on the SEC Network.
